The best part of Avalanche Falls & Liberty Gorge Cascade is its location within The Flume Gorge in the White Mountain National Forest. This does make the area quite busy if you just wanted to view Avalanche Falls & Liberty Gorge Cascade itself.

The Baby Flume, located in Lincoln, NH is named after The Flume, a much larger attraction than the Baby Flume of coarse, it is also located at Franconia Notch State Park. The Baby Flume is an enticing attraction only because of it’s short (0.1 mile) easy hike along with the other nearby waterfalls like Kinsman Falls, The Basin, and Rocky Glen Falls.
The water at the Baby Flume is a green color from the minerals coming down from the mountain. The total drop of the waterfall is only about 7 feet.
Directions to The Baby Flume: Take I-93 to Lincoln NH. I-93 runs through Franconia Notch State Park. Park at the well-marked lot for the Basin. Follow signs for the Basin until you see the sign for The Baby Flume. GPS location for the parking lot is N44° 07.157′ | W071° 40.875′

Beaver Brook Cascade offers a cascading 500 foot total drop with the largest drop in the cascade is 80 feet. The hike to Beaver Brook Cascade waterfall is a challenging 1.1 miles from the trailhead along Beaver Brook Trail which is part of the Appalacian Trail and takes you to the summit of Mt Moosilauke in Benton NH.

Campton Falls Directions: I-93 to exit 27 onto Blair Rd. Go to stop sign and take a left onto Rt. 175 Look for the bridge over Beede River. The Falls are near the road by the bridge.

Directions to Diana’s Baths: Diana’s Baths are located on West Side Rd on the North Conway/Bartlett town line just North of Cathedral Ledge within the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Cathedral Ledge can be easily seen on your drive North on West Side Rd. headed towards Rt. 302. The parking area for Diana’s Baths is very well marked with a state sign along the roadway. There is a small cash fee to enter.

Ellen’s Falls Albany New Hampshire

Ellen’s Falls is located in Albany NH and part of Hobbs Brook. Allen’s Falls offers a 25 foot total drop but its not an easy hike with no direct trail access to Ellen’s Falls. The hike is roughly 3/4 mile of very dense forest.
Directions to Ellen’s Falls: Take Kancamagus Highway (Rt. 112) and park on the side of the road near the Swift River. See map below for best parking area. Cross Rt. 112 and follow Hobbs Brook to the waterfall. Since there really isn’t a good trail it is best to follow the brook to and from Ellen’s Falls so you don’t get lost in the White Mountain National Forest!

Franconia Falls is located in Lincoln NH. Franconia Falls has a 35 foot total drop. The hike to Franconia Falls is a bit long for most inexperienced hikers but the trail is well-marked and very popular.
Franconia Falls Directions: Directions to Franconia Falls: I-93 to exit 32 onto the Kancamagus Highway (Rt. 112) for about 5 miles. Parking and trailhead is on the left at the Lincoln Woods Visitor Center. Watch for sign on left side of the road (sign photo below). Large parking area and ranger station is located here.

Georgiana and Harvard Falls is located in Lincoln NH along Harvard Brook. Georgiana Falls, aka, Lower Falls has a 30 foot total drop. Harvard Falls, aka Upper Georgiana Falls has a 60 foot total drop. Most hikers miss Harvard Falls (the upper portion of the falls) because the trail is not well traveled, or marked.
Georgiana and Harvard Falls Directions: Parking area is on Hanson Farm Road in Lincoln. There is an unmarked trails there. Georgiana Falls are a 1.3 mile hike. Harvard Falls are a 1/2 mile past Georgiana Falls and the trail is much rougher and steeper.

Glen Ellis Falls is one of the best waterfalls in New Hampshire for many reasons. It is easy to get to, has a well maintained trail with signs that give you some of the history of Glen Ellis Waterfall and the Ellis River, and above all an experience that you won’t forget.
Directions to Glen Ellis Falls: Take Rt. 16 to Pinkham Notch in the White Mountain National Forest. 1/2 mile South of the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center is the parking area on the West side of the road. The trail and parking area and very clearly marked as shown in the photos below. Walk through the tunnel under the road, down the rocks steps to the base of Glen Ellis Falls.

Jackson Falls is very easy to get to as it sits on the side of the road in downtown Jackson New Hampshire.
Directions to Jackson Falls: Take Rt. 16 to Rt. 16-A (Village Rd.) over the Jackson Covered Bridge (Honeymoon Bridge) to Rt. 16-B (Carter Notch Rd.) go .3 mile to Jackson Falls. Plenty of parking at the bottom and the top of the falls on the right.

Kinsman Falls in Lincoln New Hampshire

Kinsman Falls in Lincoln, New Hampshire is an easy hike with lots of root ladders. It follows the stream the entire hike up the mountain, so will get to see many other unnamed cascades and waterfalls along this hike through the White Mountain National Forest.

This is a decent set of falls for anyone looking for a dramatic cascading style waterfall that has decent water flow even in drier weather. Directions to Lower Ammonoosuc Falls: Rt. 302 to Old Cherry Mountain Rd. Take an immediate left onto Lower Falls Rd. Go to the end of the road to the parking lot. Follow the dirt road beyond the gate at the end of the parking lot .2 mile. The dirt road was an old road that is now used as a snowmobile trail.

Directions to Mossy Glen Falls in Randolph: Take Town Rd in Randolph to the end and park, the hike starts there. Take a left onto Carlton Notch Trail, go 600′ then take a left at the fork in the trail. Then follow Carlton Brook to Mossy Glen Falls. Map below shows trailhead parking area. Nancy Cascades in Livermore New Hampshire is one of the tallest waterfalls in NH. At just over 350 feet Nancy Cascades offers all types of different paterns of waterfalls from cascades to straight drops.
Nancy Cascades Directions: Park at the Davis Trailhead on Rt. 302 near the Notchland Inn, then follow the sign for Nancy Cascades and Nancy Pond along the Nancy Pond Trail.

Paradise Falls at Lost River Gorge New Hampshire

Paradise Falls is also know as: Falls of Prosperine, and Falls at the Lost River Gorge.
Paradise Falls is a beautiful waterfall with easy access due to it being privately owned and maintained as a tourist attraction.
Paradide Falls has a 35′ total drop and has a walkway along the side of the waterfall. The falls are fed by Lost River.
Directions to Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves: Take I-93 to Exit 32. Right at the bottom of the off ramp onto Route 112 west. Follow Rt. 112 for 6.5 miles. Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves will be on the right hand side at the top of the hill.

Directions to Ripley Falls: Take Rt. 302 to Hart’s Location. You will see the sign right on Rt. 302 (see photos). Follow the road to the top of the steep hill. Park and walk up trail. Carefully cross railroad tracks to continue up the trail to Ripley Falls.

Directions to Silver Cascade: Silver Cascade is located on Rt. 302 in Hart’s Location on the side of the road. There is a parking lot on the side of the road, be careful crossing the highway as cars tend to go very fast through this area and visibility can be tricky.

The Flume Gorge at Franconia Notch State Park in Lincoln, NH is a naturally made gorge created by glaciers. The gorge extendis 800 feet at the base of Mt. Liberty. The walls of granite rise to a height of 90 feet and range from 12 to 20 feet apart. The state park is almost 6,700 acres.

Thoreau Falls in Bethlehem NH has a total drop of 80′ along the Pemigewasset River. The Pemigewasset River is also know as “The Pemi”.
Directions to Thoreau Falls: Take Rt. 302 to Zealand Rd in Jefferson. At the end of Zealand Rd is Zealand Trail in Bethlehem. Take Zealand Trail to Ethan Pond Trail then to Thoreau Falls Trail. The trail to the waterfall is part of the Appalachian Trail.

Triple Falls Gorham, New Hampshire

Triple Falls is made up of 3 waterfalls of various heights with a total drop of 650′ along Town Line Brook (Triple Falls is on the Gorham NH and Randolf NH border): Evans Fall, Proteus Fall and Erebus Fall (no “s” on “fall” as indicated by the signage there). These 3 waterfalls all blend in together and are difficult to distinguish one from the other as they are one on top of another. They are signed at each waterfall to help distinguish one from the other.
Directions to Triple Falls: Triple Falls is located on Dolly Copp Rd near Dolly Copp Campground on the North side of Mt. Washington in the White Mountain National Forest. Accessed from either Rt. 2 or Rt. 16. If you come in via Rt. 2, take Pinkham B Rd. Since the falls are on the town line, the road changes name at the bridge where the falls are. Park in the parking area just West of the bridge.
